Dear Reader,

Before going into the treatment (and transitioning into the third-person-me), I wanted to share this: This dream has been growing inside my head and heart for two years and now it’s so all-consuming that it has become impossible to — stay reasonable and — ignore it.

Two years ago, I found myself emerging from the stop-and-go rhythm of lockdown life into the harsh reality of turning thirty. And when I thought about who my twenty year old self envisioned me to be by now - married with kids, non-smoker, millionaire e.t.c. - I wondered: Where on life’s timeline I had taken the wrong turn!? I couldn’t trace it back. The only thing I felt I had missed out on was travelling. I had constructed my entire identity around the notion of being a 'girlboss,' deriving my self-worth solely from my career. And since I was already miles off the regular timeline of ‘getting settled’, I decided to derail once again. Off the girlboss track and straight into chaos. Within four weeks I gave away everything I owned - except for a few favourite things I could fold into a tiny suitcase. I booked a flight to Lisbon. The objective? To disrupt, to experience life in every corner, to do the opposite of what’s expected of me: to ‘unsettle’.

Two years later I cannot contain any more memories. My soul’s cup is overflowing and I need to start pouring the stories. I have always loved the way Anthony Bourdain shared stories about people and places - and I wished there’d be someone like him with a fierce female energy. That’s what I’m setting out to do — ambitiously delulu. I want to encourage people (and women in particular) to derail their timeline, get lost and then find themselves. I want to share the stories of the people I meet, the foods I eat, the art I see, the shots I drink, the tears I cry, the times I fall in love. Dark sides, bright sides.

Even though travelling has become so integral to understanding my place in the world, this journey also taught me one important thing: Whether you are sipping champagne in Monaco, hungover in Bangkok or drinking a glass of Sprudelwasser with your Grandma in Scheessel: every moment holds equal value. I’d say that I’ve been a ‘good woman’ and made a home - inside my own head.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. In order to make it happen, I am looking for advice and support on all ends. I’m not just looking for funding but also creative power to guide this journey. I’d love to meet filmmakers, hosts in all kinds of places and people with stories to share.

ROADS

Travel

Series

The pursuit of feeling everything everwhere.

This is Emily in Paris - if she was unhinged, called Kaddie and travelled to the red light district of Bangkok to have a cry session with strippers. Charming, fashionable, fun - and a little delulu.

‘Can you ever really find yourself if you’ve never been lost?" In a genre-defying docu-series, Kaddie is taking us on a whirlwind journey across cultures and narratives. In pursuit to experience the full spectrum of human emotions: anger, sadness, rage, happiness, Kaddie travels the world and talks to the people that have chosen twisted and interesting paths for their lives.

CROSSROADS isn't your typical travel show. It's all about celebrating the wild, messy, transformative power of solo travel. Forget about ticking off landmarks; Kaddie fearlessly immerses herself in the weird and wonderful. Unafraid to get uncomfortable.

In each of the nine episodes, Kaddie is on a mission to stir up some serious feelings. Hotspots become a hot pot of experiences. From navigating the chaos of Tokyo's streets to a night out with Thai sex workers, and the struggle to find peace in Nepal's mountains, she's not afraid to get messy – emotionally, that is. Think deep chats with locals, blind dates, spontaneous dance-offs, and a few tears.

In Kaddie's world, the journey isn't just about where you're going – it's about who you're becoming along the way.

An un-

hinged, genre defying docu series.

Where are all the female travel hosts?

Despite the growing popularity of travel shows, statistics reveal a striking gender disparity in the representation of female hosts. While women make up a significant portion of the global travel market, they remain underrepresented. As audiences increasingly demand diverse representation, there is a growing opportunity for female voices to be heard and celebrated in the world of travel programming.
